Warm temperatures of the past several weeks brought the daffodils in the churchyard into full bloom. We celebrated by using some of them on our altar at Good Shepherd for Morning Prayer during the past month. Fr. Art Bennett reminded me that the daffodil is the national flower of Wales and is proudly worn by the Welsh on St. David’s day in March. St. David (c. 500 – c. 589) is the patron saint of Wales.

This summer, the Church of the Good Shepherd is partnering with the Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) to present "Summer Thunder," a five-day vacation Bible school (VBS). The VBS will run from July 7-12 from 9:30 a.m. to noon and is designed for children from grades K through 5. The program is nondenominational and open to all children at no cost.

VBS will include songs, games, crafts, Bible stories, and snacks. Consider joining us for a great time as we learn about the Bible with counselors from Camp Good News. Registration for VBS will take place at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 7 at Good Shepherd. Each child should be accompanied by a parent so that we can obtain parental permission for the child to attend VBS. For planning purposes, please reserve a space for your child by calling 603-835-7900 or send an email to
We would be happy to answer any questions that you might have about our summer program.
